This useful information will help you find out how with any diet and lifestyle you could prevent some diseases.
With years of research scientists and doctors came to some conclusions related to blood type, indicating the risks of diseases and their timely prevention.
Problem with memory
As the magazine Neurology says people with blood group AB have an increased risk of cognitive impairment. This is especially true of the older group of people who are memorizing more difficult.
– We know that blood type AB determines important effects on clotting proteins in the blood – explains the co-author of the study Mary Cashman for the magazine Prevention, otherwise a professor of medicine and pathology at the University of Vermont. It adds that this situation can be explained because people with AB blood type are prone to problems with memory, but is still not exactly known why it happens.
Another problem associated with this blood type is gastric cancer. People with AB blood type have almost 26% more likely to be diagnosed with this sinister disease unlike those with 0 or B blood group.
American Journal of Epidemiology reports that the cause is the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, and people with AB blood type can hardly beat it.
As mentioned, the bacteria in people with blood group AB can cause stomach cancer, people having an increased risk to obtain gastric ulcer, are the people with 0- blood group, which somehow modifies the immune system when you attack the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, and scientists do not yet have found a way.
In the case of these people with blood type 0, the advantage over other types is even 23%, concludes a study from the prestigious Harvard University. People with blood type AB and B are at greatest risk for heart disease, their study showed. The authors say that certain blood types are associated with higher rates of inflammation, which partly explains the link with heart disease.
While it is not the intention of the survey, once again it demonstrated the advantage of the blood type 0. Unlike other types, blood type 0 is 37% less likely to get pancreatic cancer when compared with others. So claims the research by Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
Again, scientists have linked the case with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori.
They also pointed out that it is not entirely clear what is the role of blood groups for specific diseases, though there is definitely a connection.
