People that enjoy eating noodles are the ones that will never accept the fact that these noodles are very bad for the health. In fact, noodles are linked to the risk of getting metabolic changes that are linked to heart diseases and strokes.
The TBHQ (Tertiary-butyl hydroquinone) is often found in cheap processes foods, such as noodles. The TBHQ is by-product used in food and petroleum industries.
This chemical is neither digestible nor beneficial for your body in any way. A research was conducted by Journal of Nutrition which concluded that after consuming the Tertiary-butyl hydroquinone chemical for a longer period of time, like the woman in South Korea, the metabolic syndrome is likely to occur, which cannot be cured, exercising and eating healthy, even changing the diet, will not change anything.
People with metabolic syndrome generally have increased risk of getting heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke and high levels of sugar in their blood.
A doctoral candidate from Boston’s Harvard School of Public Health, Hyun Shin, said that even though noodles are very delicious their high sodium amounts, their glycemic loads and unhealthy saturated fats are very bad for our overall health. This health based research involved 11,000 South Korean people aged between 19 and 64. He asked them how many times a week they have been consuming noodles and told them to list the things they have been eating recently.
The number one country in which noodles are mostly consumed per-capita is South Korea. According to World Instant Noodles Association, United States are at number 6 on this list. USA is just behind Japan, Vietnam, India and China on this list.
