Disneyland has an amazing thing known as Dole Whip. It’s a creamy, fluffy pineapple treat for which people wait in lines. Once we tried to make Dole whip but ended up making Pops. And they were delicious!
You can make them by using fresh pineapple or crushed pineapple. We used crushed pineapple. If you are not making the recipe for many people then you can cut it in half. What we did was, took 2 cans of crushed pineapple – 20 oz. each. We suggest you to buy naturally sweetened canned fruit to avoid extra sugar. In case of a fresh pineapple, you will require one whole pineapple. You have to cut it in chunks. Whether you use canned or fresh pineapple blend it. You can also add freshly squeezed lime juice for the tart flavor.
- 20 oz. naturally sweetened crushed pineapple (2 cans)
- Lime juice (1 lime)
- Cream, coconut milk. (1 1/2 cups)
Note: You can also use almond milk.
Put pineapple and lime juice in a blender. Use a high powered blender. Keep blending until it is smooth and frothy. Mix with creamy liquid. Pour the resulting mixture into molds of Popsicle. Freeze until it is hard.
Enjoy the tasty pineapple Pops!
