Simply apply some on your hair roots, but be careful not to go over the board as your hair will turn white. Leave it on for a few minutes to let it absorb the particles that make your hair look oily. Then massage your scalp gently and thoroughly. Comb your hair in the end.
If you have sensitive skin, especially one that reacts to perfumed peelings, baking soda is the best alternative. Start by making a paste using baking soda and water in a ratio 3:1. Apply the mixture on your face while massaging gently. This natural exfoliator will remove dead cells from the surface of your face, without irritating your skin.
Apart from being an effective face exfoliator, baking soda is also good for body peeling. Fill one empty bottle of any body care product halfway with baking soda and add 25 drops of essential oil of your choice. Finally, add water to fill the container. Use the mixture as a body scrub.

Baking soda gives excellent results when used for oral care as well. Mix baking soda with 3% hydrogen so that you get a thick paste. To whiten your teeth, use this mixture every now and then, instead of your regular toothpaste. Make sure you don’t use it too often so as to prevent enamel.
Coating for soothing burns
This mixture is extremely beneficial against sunburns – it lowers the heat, regenerates the skin and reduces the pain. Mix 2 teaspoons of baking soda in one liter water then soak a clean soft cloth in it and apply on the affected skin as a coating. Change the coating after it becomes dry and warm.
Last, but not least, baking soda makes a great pedicure tool. Immerse your feet in hot water to which you’ve previously added 2-3 teaspoons of baking soda. Make sure baking soda dissolves well before the treatment. Add some essential oil to your taste, lavender for instance, because it has relaxing properties. Soak your feet for 15-20 minutes. Finish with baking soda foot peeling (use the same mixture as for face peeling).
