Scientists say that some food preparation containers that have the labels “non-sticky” are a danger to you and your family. Due to this fact, a large group of world experts and scientists signed the “Madrid Document” saying that they are worried about the wide use of poly and Perfluoroalkyl substances. These are chemicals that are used for making metal food containers (like packing fast food and paper plates or “strengthened plastic”) and they have a “non-sticky cover” that doesn’t allow the food to burn or stick on the bottom.
There was a study conducted on animals that proved that some types of PFASs could cause disrupted functioning of the endocrine and immune system, liver poisoning and weakening of the metabolism. These toxins are present in the food that is cooked in them and also under the influence of heat are spread in the air, from the air in the drinking water thus poisoning the whole environment.
Scientists from all around the world call upon the manufacturers of food preparation containers to stop using PFASs chemicals. These days, there are many alternatives to making that kind of pans. So, if you see the abovementioned signs on your food containers, throw them away.
