Even though they’re being advertised as a breath of fresh air you need to know that fabric softeners contain a long list of toxins and chemical which can enter your system through the skin or inhalation and cause a number of health complications. Alpha-Terpineol – This is a toxic chemical, which can lead to a number many health problems, like dizziness, headaches, hunger, memory loss, numbness in face, neck and spine pain.

Benzyl Acetate – It’s been proven than this toxic substance can lead to pancreatic cancer. Its vapors can cause eye irritation and respiratory problems and the worst thing is that it can be absorbed through the skin.

Benzyl Alcohol – This dangerous substance is linked to central nervous system disorders, headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and drastic drops in blood pressure.

Chloroform – A carcinogenic neurotoxin which can lead to loss of consciousness, nausea, headache, vomiting, and/or dizziness, drowsiness.

Linalool – Another dangerous substance known to cause respiratory problems and even lead to the so-called loss of muscle coordination.
