Oily skin can be very problematic and people who have oily skin know best how difficult it can be to get it under control. Usually oily skin leads to large and visible pores which can be really unattractive and difficult to fix.
There are a number of over-the-counter products which can help you shrink your pores and make them less visible but you can also save the money and prepare some natural remedies at home which can be just as effective as the store-bought ones.
Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with two tablespoons of water and stir well. Apply the mixture on your face and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Afterwards rinse with cold water.
Cucumber, Lemon and Rosewater
Take one cucumber, peel it and crush it into a paste. Add a teaspoon of rosewater and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix it all well and pour the mixture onto a clean, cotton cloth. Fold it and cover your face with it. Leave it on for a few minutes and rinse your face with cold water.
Egg white and lemon juice
This is the easiest face mask you’ll ever make at home. You just need two egg whites and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix the ingredients and apply the mixture on your face. Leave it on for a couple of minutes and then wash it off with cold water. This mask is excellent for removing dead skin cells, degrease your face and tighten the skin.
Tomato and Lime juice
Mix 2 tablespoons of tomato juice with 2-4 drops of lemon juice and apply the mixture on your face with a cotton ball. Leave it on your face for 15 minutes and rinse your face with cold water.
The acid from the lime will help you eliminate the excess oil while the tomato juice will tighten the skin and close the pores.
Almond and Lime juice
Take a few almonds and dip them in a bowl of water. Leave them during the night to soak. In the morning crush the almonds until you make a fine paste and add 1 teaspoon of lime juice to the paste. Ix it all well and apply it on your face. Leave it on for 30 minutes and wash your face with cold water afterwards.
Lemon and pineapple juice
Squeeze half a lemon and mix it with half a cup of pineapple juice. Stir it until they’re nicely combined and then soak a clean cotton cloth in the mixture. Cover you face with the soaked cloth and leave it on your face for about 5 minutes. Rinse with cold water.
Pineapple contains enzymes which clean and tighten the skin and in combination with the lemon juice they leave your skin tightened and oil-free.
