We all know that dogs are people`s best friends and we consider them as part of our family. We enjoy hugging and cuddling them without thinking of all the consequences it can have to our health. the truth is, every day the dogs come across numerous dangerous bacteria as they walk around. These dangerous bacteria can be easily transferred to humans and cause serious health issues. In 2013, a child was infected with TBC by family dog. Fortunately, the child, who was under the age of 10, recovered quickly, but the dog was put to sleep.
Furthermore, people can get Porphyromonas gingivalis from dog`s saliva which can cause gum disease in animals and gingivitis in humans. Also, you can get serious infections if the dog licks your wounds.
This certainly doesn`t mean that you should get rid of your dog, but be careful and do not allow him to lick your face.
