Customers are deceived for years that they are eating fresh at Subway!
In 1956 Fred de Luca was only 17 when he opened Subway to earn money he needed for college. In order to do this he borrowed 1000 dollars from a family friend, Peter Buck. He will become his business partner. The food that is sold in Subway is thought to be always fresh and healthy. It is also said that these days Subway is owned by Doctors Associates, Inc, which is not true as it is still owned by Peter and Fred. The truth is that Doctor’s Associates, Inc only owns the Subway and this information misleads people that doctors are consulted about the choice of food. The truth is actually that there are no doctors in the Doctor’s Associates, Inc and Subway do not sell healthy and fresh products any more.
A lot of people do not believe that Subway is selling them unhealthy products: they think that they are trying really hard to provide people with healthy products. But are you aware that although it looks and smells as freshly baked bread, the 9-grain whole wheat bread has 50 other ingredients as conditioners, MSG, refined sugar and others? The question now is whether this processed bread is really a healthy food?
Italian (white) Bread: Enriched flour (wheat flour, barley malt, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, sugar, contains less than 2% of the following: soybean oil, fermented wheat flour, yeast, salt, wheat protein isolate, wheat gluten, dough conditioners (acetylated tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides, ammonium sulfate, calcium sulfate, ascorbic acid, azodicarbonamide, potassium iodate, amylase [enzymes]), sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate, lactic acid, sulfites, mineral oil.
Subway when preparing the bread uses soybean oil, instead sunflower, olive or peanut oil which makes the bread toxic.
The vegetables in Subway like pickles and peppers look so bright and colorful. Do you think that they look that way because of artificial colors? Another important thing is that olives contain an additive known as gluconate which keeps the olives black.
