Almond Milk & Green Tea – Amazing Combination That WIll Help You Lose Weight and Detox Your Body

One perfect way to kick start your day and to fuel your body for another day’s challenge is to drink either coffee or tea. I, for one, prefers a hot cup of tea in the morning. Whether green or black tea, with or without sugar, it is an essential drink that boosts your energy and allows you to respond and think quickly.


A lot of people know that drinking tea is highly beneficial but the catch is that, many have not heard that a tea can be a good diet for detoxification.

This diet is most popular among those who want to lose weight and maintain their normal weight. The combination of almond milk and tea not only tastes good and does not give a feeling of hunger, it is also excellent in cleansing and detoxifying the body.

This diet will help you lose 0.5 to 2 kg in a day. Do take note though that it should be practised for one day, not more than twice a month.

Ingredients are as follows:

1.5 liter of almond milk (Silk is my brand of choice)

2 tablespoons of original green tea (Note: Do not buy green tea packed in tea bags as they are not as effective as the original green tea sold per kilo)


  1. Boil and cool the almond milk to 70 degrees (this is important – the milk should not be warm, but hot), then add 2 tablespoons of green tea.
  2. Cover and leave it for 20 minutes.
  3. Strain and drink. Drink one cup every 2 hours. This drink is absorbed better, because green tea eases digestion of almond milk and milk alleviates the effects of caffeine.

Note: It is best to drink purified, non-carbonated water while doing this detox for better effect. Drink at least 2 liters of water a day, because this drink is a strong diuretic, and water maintains the balance within your body.
